I would like
to say that we appreciate your time and thank you in advance for
your consideration. Let me begin this letter by first introducing
you to our organization. Diversity Training University International
(DTUI) is an on-line global diversity resource for organizations
and professionals and is currently hosting diversity forums.
The San Diego
County Diversity Forums are a series of professional talks with
discussions on a variety of topics concerning incorporating cultural
competence into organizations. Diversity Training University International
(DTUI) is offering the lunchtime forums in collaboration with a
number of local and statewide sponsors.
DTUI and its sponsors will focus on the following objectives in
offering the forums:
- Promoting
cultural competence as a critical component of an organization’s
continuous learning needs
- Identifying
the ways in which cultural competences can effectively contribute
to the emerging global society
- Helping
leaders, managers, teachers, and other professionals understand
how diversity is a valuable resource and how to harness it in
the service of productivity.
The lunchtime
Forums will meet the above objectives by:
- Offering
state-of-the-art information about the hiring, recruitment and
retention across demographic groups
- Promote
a common language to use in promoting diversity and inclusion
- Offering
speakers who are experts in the field and focused on practical
solutions
- Offering
a learning community format in which participants learn how to
model inclusion in their professional lives
- Delivering
products from the Forums, such as semi-annual reports of the events,
contributions, and practical recommendations that will be published
on the DTUI web site and in PDF format.
The Forums
will be of interest to, but not limited to, the following groups:

and equity officers
- Affirmative
action and compliance officers

relations professionals
DTUI is seeking
partnerships with organizations and individuals interested in partnering
